Job Description
- Data collection and analyzation:
Provides sole and/or primary leadership for School of Nursing in the daily administration of complex projects and programs for the Dean, Associate Deans, Program Directors and Budget Operations Manager. Collects, compiles and analyzes complex data related to reports as requested for the Georgia Board of Nursing, the National League for Nursing., the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Education as well as university accreditation bodies. 2.- Coordinate department activities:
Coordinates departmental activities related to: completing semester class schedules: room scheduling for all classes, and special events; preparing program/ faculty materials; scheduling instructional activities, UWG advising workshops, and regular advising sessions; coordinating the maintenance; surplus of damaged furniture and machinery. Develops and maintains electronic database and records for faculty and students related to undergraduate and graduate programs and off-campus sites. 3.- Supervision and training:
Directly supervises, schedules, assigns, and checks the work of two full-time staff assistants, and multiple part-time student employees. Also, plan, develop and presents workshops/training to two full-time staff assistants, and multiple part-time student employees. Manages state-of-the-art technology systems and signage. 4. - Administrative agency contracts and travel expenses: Performs key administrative duties associated with initiation and administration of MOU Clinical agency contracts required for student placement. Prepares and enters multiple travel expense statements in the ePro system for reimbursement for faculty/staff. Administrative and Financial Support - Assists with departmental purchasing and financial transactions, including providing administrative support for Purchasing Card (P-Card) activities, maintaining required documentation, and reconciling transactions in accordance with University policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 2-4 years administrative experience; or a combination of training, education and experience. Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office 2007 or above and Databases) PC or MAC platforms. Maintains complex departmental and college databases, such as banner, etc. Need excellent organizationaland time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in an academic setting preferred. Must maintain a safe and organized work area. Professional attire and proper hygiene appropriate for an office setting.
