Job Description

Must have knowledge of:
  • Operations and project management
  • Strong technology skills, preferably from work experience
  • Excel, word, outlook, quick books, power point and database skills
  • Accounting software that automates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management processes
  • P&L responsibility or prior experience managing accounting department functions
  • Building income statements and balance sheets Must have the ability to:
  • Meet deadlines
  • Attend to details and ensure accuracy
  • Prioritize objectives in a fast paced environment and among stakeholders with individual demands
  • Consistently deliver quality work product and customer service
  • Learn the environment and proactively acquire resources needed to meet deliverables, and proactively reach out and set goals
  • Maintain strict policies when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Multi-task, organize, and prioritize
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) Financial Accounting Functions
  • Process accounts payable for payment and document the process
  • Process accounts receivable and receipts
  • Process payroll for school employees
  • Create and manage monthly journal entries
  • Oversee and ensure the accurate implementation of the lunch program
  • Initiate and maintain all work with outside accounting and auditing agencies
  • Complete monthly analysis and preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and statement of cash flows to support monthly review of the school's financial performance and grant management
  • Implement financial controls for accounts payable process, bank deposits
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reporting for the school's Board of Directors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the auditors during the annual audit Training and Experience
  • An undergraduate degree with a concentration in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting is required.
Former project management and facility management is a plus.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
