The Student Retention Analyst will provide comprehensive technical oversight, management, and support for the student retention platform (EAB Navigate), including reporting and visualization of retention and success data from the platform and other retention systems. The Analyst will be responsible for utilizing information from different sources (SIS, data warehouse, student retention platform) to pull necessary reports for outgoing student communication and departmental metrics assessment. The Analyst reports to the Student Retention Manager and assists with requests within the Retention department, the Student Success and Retention division, and campus partners utilizing the student retention platform. Responsibilities Serve as Application Administrator for student retention platform (EAB Navigate), responsible for serving as the main point of contact across campus and liaison with EAB, configuring settings, permissions and activating users, and triaging end user issues and questions. Serve as lead for onboarding and supporting new/current users to the student retention platform, including maintaining onboarding/training documents and facilitating user training. Serve as Technology Team representative, in conjunction with Information Technology, collaborating with EAB technology team to resolve data integration issues in the student retention platform. Act as subject matter expert of EAB Navigate and maintain abreast of feature updates, best practices, etc. Collect and compile data from various sources (SIS, data warehouse, retention platform, surveys, etc.) to be used for retention efforts. Data will be validated and distributed to colleagues. Utilize EAB Navigate, PowerBI, and/or Excel to build and maintain data visualization and pivot tables related to student appointments, academic alerts, student probation modules, retention campaign results, and other retention and success data for division reporting. Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to Student Success and Retention leadership and key stakeholders. Analyze and compile student data for trends and patterns (predictive analytics, course insights, historical data completion data) to identify sub-populations of students in need of increased retention efforts and areas of opportunity. Analyze student data as it relates to outreach outcomes to identify the success of interventions and services to students. Create reports that demonstrates divisional activity, intervention effectiveness, retention risks, etc. for the Student Success and Retention division and stakeholders. Support the holds processes for the Student Success and Retention division which includes first-semester, non-degree, and academic probation students. Collaborate with campus partners, particularly in Information Technology, Institutional Effectiveness, and Registration and Records, to ensure shared data definitions, data usage, and data validity. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. At least one year of technical experience including system maintenance and testing, running and troubleshooting production jobs, and report production. Strong background in database structure/functions and computer applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel pivot tables and data visualization required. Power BI or Tableau experience strongly preferred. Experience pulling and combining data from different data sources required.
