Superintendent JOBGOAL:

To exercise leadership, supervision, and administrative skills which promote the effective educational development of all students.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Works effectively within a School Based Decision making governance structure. Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school. Initiates, designs, and implements programs to meet the specific needs of the school. Provides sound instructional leasership. Prepares and administers the school budget. Supervises the maintenance of all required building records and reports. Supervises all personnel assigned to the school. Assists in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of personnel. Complies with all provisions of the Kentucky Education Reform Act of 1990. Administers the evaluation of Certified and Classified personnel in compliance with state and local regulations. Assumes responsibilities for maintaining an effective professional staff development program for all staff assigned to the school. Assumes responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy school plant and enviroment. Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with parents and the community. Complies with all federal, state, and local laws/regulations. Promotes attendance in an aggressive manner, with the goal to maintain a minimum 96% attendance rate. View Salary Schedule here .
