Organization Information Washington County schools are located in one of the most beautiful and historic counties in the state. All schools met their drop out reduction goals set by the state. The Mission statement for Washington County Schools is: In partnership with parents and the community, shall challenge, inspire, and nurture each student to be academically prepared for higher education,advanced technical training, the workforce and to become responsible citizens with a strong work ethic. The District Comprehensive Improvement Plan, which was recently revised, continues to provide guidance and direction for our district. Four schools serve our district - North Washington Elementary(PK-8), Washington County Elementary (PK-5), Washington County Middle School (6-8), and Washington County High School(9-12). Our College and Career Readiness initiative focuses on exposing students to a rigorous curricula and college -level work. "CommandingExcellence For All" is reflected in all we do.

Position Category School Principal Title High School Principal Description Washington County High School is seeking an individual with valid certification for High School Principal. Valid candidates will need valid teaching certificate and Master's of Arts degree and (5) five years experience in teaching and administration. To provide instructional leadership to staff including: Curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Regularly inspects the building and grounds for maintenance issues and support teaching staff in student discipline issues. Responsible for financial adjusting of Site Based Council budget and funds and all building administration and the safety and welfare of both students and staff.
