Job Description

Athol-Royalston Regional School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Administrative Assistant to join the faculty at Athol High School. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Student Services team by providing confidential administrative and clerical support related to counseling services, Section 504 coordination, student records, scheduling, and family communication. This is a full-time, 12-month position that requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Student Services Department, including school counselors, special education staff, college/career staff and administration. Maintain confidential student records in compliance with FERPA, IDEA, and district policies. Assist with the coordination and scheduling of meetings, including: IEP Team meetings Section 504 meetings Parent/guardian conferences Student support meetings Prepare, distribute, and maintain required documentation related to Section 504, counseling services, and student records including report cards, progress reports. Manage department calendars, schedules, and appointment coordination. Serve as a primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and outside agencies regarding Student Services matters. Manage student registration, transfers, withdrawals, transcripts, transcript requests, and records management. Manage graduation duties and scholarship coordination. Support state reporting, data entry, and maintenance of student information systems. Provide and coordinate communication and mailings to students, families and community agencies. Maintain accurate documentation, filing systems, and electronic databases. Assist administrators and counselors with scheduling, testing coordination, and other student support functions. Perform additional duties as assigned by building administration.
