at University of Maine System in Presque Isle, Maine, United States Job Description The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking a student-focused and collaborative professional to join our dynamic Advising Center team as a Professional Academic Advisor. This full-time position is based on the UMPI campus in Presque Isle, Maine and generally works a Monday-Friday, 40-hour per week schedule, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. The Professional Academic Advisor plays a key role in supporting students throughout their academic journey by providing holistic advising, academic planning, and mentorship that promotes student success, retention, and degree completion. This position works closely with faculty within assigned colleges and departments, the Advising team, and campus partners including Admissions, Student Affairs, Student Records, and Student Financial Services to support students from enrollment through graduation. The salary for this full time on campus position is $45,300.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. + Experience in academic advising or student support services in higher education. Preferred Qualifications + Experience in academic advising or student support services in higher education. + Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. + Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. + Experience with student information systems and advising technologies.
