Summary of Position:
The Desk Service Assistant (DSA) is a part-time student staff member of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. The DSA must live on campus and is preferred to live in the community in which they live. They work at the front desk of the building in which they live, or the front desk of the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
Position Requirements:
  • This is a 10-month position, running from August to May.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
  • Ensuring safety and security of the residence hall community,
  • Providing excellent customer service for residents, faculty, staff, and guests of the University and the residence hall
  • Assisting with mail, packages, supplies, and questions which residents have.
  • This position may require working late night, overnight, early morning, and weekend hours.
