This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into the golf industry. Plum Hollow, founded in 1921 by Golden Age golf course architects Colt & Allison, has a long legacy of championship golf in the Detroit area.
The list of Championships includes:

  • 2015 Michigan Men's Amatuer Championship
  • 2022 GAM Championship
  • 2024 Michigan Women's Amatuer Championship Plum Hollow is committed to providing the best playing conditions for its membership and the very best players in the state.
A recently completed two million dollar golf course renovation in 2021 includes a new putting green and rebuilt tee boxes and bunkers. A state of the art one million dollar pumpstation was completed in 2024 and a new fleet of Toro equipment is used to meet this commitment. We are looking for an individual who understands and plays the game of golf. Someone who is team oriented, has excellent communication skills and makes attention to detail a priority. No education requirements needed. The focus will be to expose you to all facets of golf course maintenance.
Main responsibilities include:
  • Water Management
  • Fertilizer and Chemical Applications
  • Irrigation System Repair
  • Course Set-up
  • Team Management What Plum Hollow Offers The selected individual will be sent, all expenses paid, to Michigan State University's Turf School 4-day short course designed to teach the basics of turfgrass science as well as the practical techniques of managing turf.
The goal would be to grow your professional network through continuing education and industry social opportunities. Many managers have furthered their careers with the experience gained at Plum Hollow.
