The anticipated duration is approximately 5 months, with an end date to be determined based on the leave status.SECTION I

$ 144,000 � $155,000 Annually (prorated annually based on length of temporary assignment)Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools, the Elementary Principal manages the operation and educational programs of the elementary school, including supervising teachers and other staff, and evaluating and pursuing related programs.SECTION II
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide instructional leadership to ensure high-quality teaching practices aligned with district curriculum, goals, and student achievement outcomes. Lead and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) through collaborative, data-driven decision-making and continuous school improvement efforts. Hire, supervise, evaluate, and support licensed and non-licensed staff in accordance with district expectations and evaluation timelines. Foster a culture of professional growth through coaching, feedback, staff development, and modeling effective leadership practices. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being. Implement and oversee systems for student behavior, discipline, social-emotional learning, and school-wide positive culture initiatives. Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, community organizations, and stakeholders to support student learning and school engagement. Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and the community to ensure transparency, trust, and collaboration. Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, facilities management, school safety, maintenance, and emergency preparedness. Manage school budgets, resources, supplies, and expenditures in alignment with district policies and operational priorities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, policies, reporting requirements, and educational standards. Serve as liaison between the school and district while representing the school in community activities, district initiatives, and collaborative leadership efforts.SECTION III
WORKREQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Education and Experience Requirements:
Current MN teaching license Minimum three (3) years of full-time teaching equivalent experience Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, or closely-related fieldLicense/Certification Requirements:
Current K-12Minnesota Principal Licensure Preferred Education/Experience:
Experience as an associate principal or assistant principal as the elementary level, or experience in an instructional leadership position at the elementary level. Two (2) years experience coordinating or leading instructional programs. Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required to Perform theWork:
Knowledge- Thorough understanding of instructional methodology and best instructional practices.
