Job Description
In accordance with the organizational chart and overall plan of Vance-Granville Community College, Call Center Staff report to the Student Services Assistant/Dean of Student Retention and Success and will provide support and guidance for prospective and current students concerning the enrollment services (orientation, registration, etc.). Application review and interview scheduling may begin prior to the posted closing date. The position may be filled before the closing date; therefore, applicants are encouraged to submit materials as soon as possible for full consideration. Provide excellent customer service by welcoming students and answering questions concerning various enrollment services via phone and email. Place calls to prospective and current students concerning enrollment services and registration activities. Provide assistance in answering questions and directing the traffic flow of students and visitors to the appropriate enrollment department Provide support to students in navigating the enrollment process. Provide assistance and support to prospective and current students as needed to resolve complex issues while providing high-level customer service to students in person, by telephone, email, text messaging and other media formats. Assist students in using the College website to answer general questions, locate forms, complete admission application, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), access MyVGCC and other related sites such as Moodle and VGCC student e-mail account, CFNC, etc. Assist with recruitment and outreach events. Provide general information to students about the enrollment process including placement testing, general financial aid information, advising, and new student orientation. Work with all areas of the College community (students, staff, and faculty) to provide information and cultivate supportive relationships between the divisions. cultivate supportive relationships between the divisions. Education and Experience Required:
Completion of 24 hours of college credit Strong customer service skills Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skillsEducation and Experience Preferred:
