Employment Terms:

Annual appointment only; must re-apply in subsequent years.

Athletic Director Qualifications:

1. Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility or County Substitute Certificate 2. Demonstrated knowledge of athletic programs and injury prevention and management 3. Knowledge of inventory control 4. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien 5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Oversees the coordination of day-to-day maintenance of athletic equipment. 2. Determines needs and informs the Head Coach and Athletic Director to acquire equipment. 3. Establishes, maintains, and reconciles uniform and equipment inventories and oversees the maintenance of all athletic inventory records for the athletic program. 4. Oversees uniform and equipment distribution and retrieval.. 5. Ensures that all uniforms and related apparel and equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition and that all uniforms and equipment follow district branding rules. 6. Inventories all equipment prior to sending for reconditioning. 7. Requires working during the summer and during school vacations as needed. Other 1. Upholds and enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy and all NJSIAA rules and regulations governing sports. 2. Performs other duties which may be within the scope of his/her employment and certification as may be assigned. 3. Does not serve as a coach

Salary:

$5,519 - $7,192 Stipends are in accordance with the Negotiated Agreement between the Paramus Board of Education and the Education Association of Paramus (EAP).
