Position summary y identifying at-risk students, providing interventions, and connecting students with support services to address academic and personal challenges. Duties & Responsibilities Provides academic advisement and coaching for credit and non-credit programs. Maintains knowledge and skills of advisement-related best practices as well as institutional, state, and national higher education policies and practices-learning and applying changes as they occur. Provides career exploration and connection to CNM and community career resources. Shares CNM resources to facilitate student persistence and success. Provides targeted outreach to coach students toward their goals; remains on the educational path at CNM; and promotes student retention, graduation, and transfer. Monitors and documents student academic progress, including support to students at risk of not being retained. Implements advisement strategies to achieve and improve institutional standards related to enrollment, persistence, retention, graduation, and transfer. Supports student satisfaction by engaging with students in a variety of ways to meet individual student needs. Assists with projects, collaboration, and communication with other departments, divisions, and community partners. Work may be performed at multiple locations to support department needs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND Two (2) years of advisement or related experience
