New York State Certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or equivalent required. Five (5) years of successful teaching or administrative experience at the Must have the ability to work with and build capacity with multi-disciplinary staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Description:

The Associate Principal is responsible for the administration, supervision, and operation of all staff and activities which deal directly with the programs and physical facilities under his/her jurisdiction as indicated by the Building Principal. The Associate Principal is responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with Directors and other District personnel. This administrator will work in partnership with the Building Principal to ensure that classrooms are well supported in implementing evidence-based practices and that administrative operations run efficiently and in compliance with state and district expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support proactive systems for academic and behavioral achievement, such as Collaborative Team Meetings & Student Support Teams.

Analyze data to assess instructional needs and plan strategic improvements. Maintain positive communication with families regarding student progress, classroom systems, and behavioral supports.

Support building-wide initiatives related to school safety, positive behavior supports, and inclusive culture.

Assist with curriculum planning, teacher support, and professional development activities.

Assist the principal in daily operations, including supervision, scheduling, crisis response, and staff coverage.
