Until Filled Position Overview The Randolph Academy Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and collaborative educational leader to serve as Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student support, restorative and normative practices, family engagement, and instructional leadership. This position plays a critical role in supporting the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and residential needs of students while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. While the primary assignment will be at the Randolph campus, travel to the Hamburg campus will be required as determined by the Superintendent. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a leader in student support services and intervention systems. Support and implement restorative and normative practices throughout the school community. Act as a key liaison for residential students and collaborate closely with residential staff and support teams. Coordinate and assist with student intake and transition processes. Provide high-level family support and maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians. Support the development and implementation of student behavioral and social-emotional supports. Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for staff in alignment with district goals and expectations. Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Support instructional leadership initiatives, curriculum implementation, and school improvement efforts. Supervise student activities, school operations, and building procedures. Assist with staff evaluation and professional development initiatives. Support attendance initiatives, discipline procedures, and crisis response efforts. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, related service providers, and community agencies to support student success. Assist the Principal in the daily administration and operation of the school. Perform duties and additional responsibilities as directed by the Principal and Superintendent. Qualifications • Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certification required. Demonstrated leadership experience in education preferred. Knowledge and experience with restorative practices, behavioral supports, and student services strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience working collaboratively with families, residential programs, and multidisciplinary teams preferred.
