ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - 214 DAYS - STRUTHERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Qualifications:
1) Must have master's degree in educational administration and a valid Ohio Elementary School Principal certificate/license. 2) Previous elementary teaching and/or administrative experience preferred. 3) Child-centered decision maker, with a comprehensive view of education, a working knowledge of elementary curriculum and instruction, and a commitment to the development of all children. 4) Strong academic leadership skills, planning/organizational ability, and initiative. 5) Assist in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the operations of K-4 comprehensive elementary school, including but not limited to curricular and extracurricular activities before, during and after school. 6) Proven leadership qualities, professional ethics, and good character. 7) Strong knowledge base of instructional best practices at the elementary level. 8) Committed to effective technology integration to maximize student achievement. 9) Strong knowledge base and experience with special education programs, rules, and procedures. 10) Experience with building IAT teams and IEP meetings preferred. 11) Ability to maintain and support an effective MTSS process. 12) Knowledge of state standards and curriculum including innovative scheduling techniques, state mandates and law. 13) The ability to analyze state and local reports. 14) The ability to analyze data, interpret data, and solve problems. 15) Excellent oral and written communication skills. 16) Ability to motivate, lead, and supervise staff. 17) Provide curricular and professional support to teachers. 18) Maintains high expectations for all students and staff, commitment to carrying out the goals of the district. 19) The ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, community, and the administrative team. 20) The ability to create a positive educational environment, conducive to learning. 21) Knowledge of OIP and/or school improvement processes preferred. 22) Must be credentialed as an OTES Evaluator. 23) Perform all administrative and related duties as assigned by the superintendent.
