Retirement About Bryan City Schools Bryan City School District is seeking an outstanding instructional leader to serve as the head Principal of Bryan Middle/High School. Bryan Middle/High School serves students in grades 6-12. Bryan City Schools is a student-focused district committed to academic excellence, strong relationships, and preparing students for success beyond graduation. The district values innovation, collaboration, and a positive school culture that supports students, staff, and families. Bryan Middle/High School serves approximately 900 students in grades 6-12 and offers a comprehensive academic program including college preparatory coursework, career-technical opportunities, extracurricular activities, and partnerships with local colleges and community organizations. Bryan High School (grades 9-12) is adjoined with Bryan Middle School (grades 6-8) in the same building. This role would serve as the building's lead administrator, with support from an Assistant Middle School Principal (grades 6-8) and an Assistant High School Principal (grades 9-12). Position Summary The Middle/High School Principal provides visionary leadership and oversight for all academic, operational, and student support programs within the building. The Principal works collaboratively with staff, students, families, and the community to create a safe, engaging, and high-performing learning environment that supports student achievement and growth. Key Responsibilities Provide instructional leadership that promotes high levels of student achievement and continuous improvement. Supervise, evaluate, and support certified and classified staff in alignment with district policies and Ohio evaluation frameworks. Foster a positive school culture focused on student engagement, accountability, and mutual respect. Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and data-driven instruction. Manage school operations including scheduling, budgeting, facilities, and safety procedures. Support student success through discipline systems, attendance initiatives, and social-emotional supports. Communicate effectively with parents, community partners, and district leadership. Promote participation in co-curricular and extracurricular programs that enrich student experiences. Ensure compliance with state laws, district policies, and educational regulations. Minimum Qualifications Valid Ohio Principal License, or eligibility for licensure, through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field. Successful experience as a teacher and/or school administrator. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior administrative experience. Demonstrated success in providing opportunity for student success. Experience with college and career readiness initiatives, including dual credit and career pathways. Knowledge of Ohio graduation requirements and accountability systems. Salary and Benefits Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and district administrative salary schedules.
