JOB OBJECTIVES
The Assistant Superintendent of Education & Student Services serves as a key executive leader who supports the Superintendent in advancing the district's academic vision, student success initiatives, and overall organizational effectiveness. This position provides leadership and oversight for all areas related to academics and student services, ensuring alignment between district goals, instructional programs, student support systems, and school operations. The role promotes continuous improvement, collaboration, positive organizational culture, and data-informed decision-making while supporting high levels of student achievement, engagement, wellness, and postsecondary readiness across the district.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Superintendent in the overall leadership and administration of the school district. Foster and maintain a strong collaborative, respectful, and student-centered working environment among staff, administrators, students, families, and community stakeholders. Serve as a member of the Superintendent's Executive Team and attend district meetings. Translate the district's educational philosophy, goals, and objectives into actionable strategies that directly benefit teachers and students. Provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for all departments and programs related to academics and student services, including curriculum and instruction, assessment, special programs, athletics, counseling, student support services, and other initiatives that support student learning, engagement, and success. Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of district goals and strategic plans. Monitor and improve instructional programs to ensure high levels of student achievement. Supervise and evaluate assigned administrators and directors. Collaborate with district leaders to ensure alignment of campus and district initiatives. Assist in the development and management of the district budget. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations. Promote a positive organizational culture and strong professional learning communities. Serve as a liaison between the Superintendent and staff, community, and stakeholders. Represent the district at meetings, events, and community functions as needed. Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned. Attend Board of Education meetings; prepare and present reports. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
Education:
Master's degree from an accredited institution Preferred Qualifications Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.

D.) in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field in education 5-10 years of successful educational leadership experience, with at least three years as a building principal. Superintendent certification Experience leading at the district-level Demonstrated experience in curriculum and instruction, school leadership supervision and data-driven decision making Background in:

Multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) Special education oversight College and career readiness systems Demonstrated success improving:
