Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Reproductive Health Student Outreach Assistant for the Student Health Services at Oregon State University (OSU). Passionate about reproductive health and outreach? Join our team as the Reproductive Health Student Outreach Assistant to play an important role in supporting the Student Health Services Contraceptive Care (CCARE) program team and Reproductive Health services at OSU's Corvallis campus. This role is crucial in promoting awareness and education about available reproductive health services for OSU students. Collaborating closely with CCARE program staff, the assistant will engage with students across various settings to provide information, support, and resources related to reproductive health. They will actively promote existing resources, advocate for informed decision-making regarding contraceptive care and implement effective outreach strategies to increase enrollment of eligible students into the CCARE program. This role will collaborate closely with the Reproductive Health Student Technical Assistant to help provide enrollment access at campus locations and events. Outreach and Engagement:
Actively promote and raise awareness about reproductive health resources and services offered through Student Health Services and CCARE program. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding resources and disseminate this information with students and campus partners.Education:
Assist inanization and conducting education events on topics such as contraception, STI prevention, sexual health.Event Coordination:
Collaborate with campusanizations and student groups to engage in events that promote reproductive health awareness, resources and advocacy.Resource Management:
Collaborate with marketing team to maintain and update informational materials, posters, digital resources related to reproductive health for distribution across campus.- Budgeting for and maintaining inventory of sexual health and outreach supplies
- Data Collection and ing: Assist in collecting feedback and data to evaluate the impact of reproductive health services and outreach efforts to improve program effectiveness.
Technical Support:
Provide support to CCARE program staff to enroll eligible students into CCARE program.Collaboration:
Work closely with CCARE program staff and the Reproductive Health Student Technical Assistant to streamline enrollment processes and ensure effectivemunication. Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found : hr.oregonstate.edu/student-employment-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requirements Must be academically enrolled in a high school,munity college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term- Graduate student officially admitted to
Graduate School:
5 credit hours per term Graduate international student officially admitted toGraduate School:
9 credit hours per term- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications
- Current OSU undergraduate student passionate about reproductive health, contraception education, public health, or related fields
- Strongmunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse student populations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, equity and empowerment in reproductive health education and advocacy
- Commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity in handling patient and reproductive health information
- Available to work the entire academic year (September - June)
- Available to work flexible hours,mitting to 15 hrs/week with afternoon and evenings on a regular basis, some weekend events (Corvallis campus) This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; tfore, the incumbent must successfullyplete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq.
- Experience in outreach, event coordination or public speaking is a plus
