GENERAL DUTIES
The Coordinator of Student Services assists district leadership in planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating student support services across the district. The position provides leadership and guidance to administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families in the implementation of programs and services designed to support student success, educational access, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The Coordinator of Student Services works collaboratively with building administrators and district leaders to ensure effective systems of support for students, oversee assigned programs, and support positive school climates and inclusive practices throughout the district.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid State of Oregon Administrative License appropriate for the position Master's Degree preferred, with emphasis in Educational Leadership, Special Education, School Counseling, Student Services, or related field Successful administrative and/or leadership experience in K-12 education Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, Title IX, McKinney-Vento, Foster Care provisions, and other applicable state and federal regulations Demonstrated ability to lead teams, collaborate effectively, and build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment Proficiency with technology systems, student information systems, and state reporting platforms Ability to effectively work with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities Promote equitable access and inclusive practices for all students Assist district leadership in accomplishing goals related to student services and special programs Interpret and implement district policies and procedures related to assigned programs and services Collaborate with administrators, staff, families, and community agencies to support student success Support compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations Assist with staff training, program development, and continuous improvement efforts Prepare reports, documentation, and recommendations as required Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff matters Program Oversight and Coordination Provide leadership, oversight, coordination, and support for the following programs and areas: Special Programs Special Education (IDEA) ADA/Section 504 (Student Services) English Language Development (Title III) Long Term Care & Treatment (LTCT/Homestead) Student Services McKinney-Vento/Homeless Services IMESD Special Services Coordination School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Collaboration Foster Care Supports and Compliance School Counseling Program State Reporting and Compliance Student data reporting Special Programs reporting Monitoring compliance requirements and timelines other duties as assigned Pendleton School District 16R affirms the right of all individuals to equal opportunity to education and employment without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, age, religion, marital status, handicap, or any other extraneous consideration not directly and substantively related to effective performance.
