Aug 17, 2026 Job Description Elementary School Principal This position is a permanent full-time ten (10) month (206 days) position beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
QUALIFICATIONS Valid Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate (Principal K-12 or equivalent). Preferred minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the elementary Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an Assistant Principal or comparable administrative role, preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood and elementary instructional practices, student development, and intervention Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and data Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.REPORTS TO

Assistant Principals (if assigned) Teaching staff, including paraprofessionals Other professional staff All nonprofessional school staff Other resource and service personnel while functioning in the assigned schoolJOB GOAL
To serve as the instructional and organizational leader of the elementary school by providing vision-driven leadership focused on foundational learning, student development, family engagement, and a safe, nurturing school environment that promotes high levels of student achievement.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic and Cultural Leadership Develops and sustains a shared vision for teaching, learning, and continuous improvement aligned with district priorities and the developmental needs of elementary learners. Establishes and maintains a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture that promotes academic success and social-emotional Promotes equity, access, and high expectations for all Leads school-wide initiatives focused on early literacy, numeracy, attendance, behavior, and student Provides leadership during emergencies and ensures preparedness and effective Leadership for Learning Supervises and evaluates elementary instructional programs to ensure alignment with Pennsylvania Academic Standards and district Uses assessment and multiple data sources to monitor student progress and guide instructional Oversees developmentally appropriate elementary schedules, including related arts, intervention blocks, and support Conducts classroom observations and provides coaching and feedback to support effective instructional Ensures compliance with special education services, Section 504 plans, gifted education, MTSS, and IEP Oversees guidance, intervention, and student support services with an emphasis on early identification and Systems Leadership Interprets and enforces Board policies, administrative regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable Administers student discipline in a fair, consistent, and developmentally appropriate manner. Prepares and administers the elementary school budget and monitors Ensures accurate student records and compliance with reporting Oversees building operations, safety procedures, arrival/dismissal, lunch, recess, and supervision Maintains responsibility for student and staff health, safety, and welfare, including drills and safety Professional and Community Leadership Recruits, supports, and evaluates professional and support staff. Facilitates professional collaboration focused on instructional improvement and student needs. Establishes strong communication and partnerships with families and the Serves as a visible leader at school and community Participates in ongoing professional learning to strengthen knowledge and skills in student support, positive behavior practices, effective instructional strategies, data- informed decision-making, and fostering a safe and supportive school Other Responsibilities Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the Superintendent orTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be determined in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Plan established between the Act 93 Group and the Crawford Central Board of School Directors.EVALUATION
