Job Description Purpose:
Renaissance Academy Charter School is seeking a strong, innovative Principal for Grades 5-8 to be a collaborative contributor to a K-12 Team of Leaders. The successful candidate must have at least three years of successful teaching experience (Charter School desired), as well as peer leadership experience in a school setting. Candidates must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, knowledge of assessment data, and best practices related to student achievement, scheduling, discipline, and special education. Applicants should have experience teaching diverse learners and be committed to the success of all students. Willingness to engage families, work with the community and build a positive learning environment while striving for academic success. Qualification/Requirements:
Works beside the other principals to manage elementary, middle, and high school administrative and educational aspects. Plays an integral role in establishing and maintaining a school climate conducive to learning, including overseeing the enforcement of school rules and regulations and implementing disciplinary measures when deemed necessary. The principal will be involved in reviewing budgets and school policies, organizing school events and community initiatives, updating student records, and recruiting new staff. The principal must be an Instructional Leader of good character and integrity. Have the proven experience and skills to work effectively with the staff, leadership team, students, parents, and community. Master's Degree in Education required PA Administrative Certification - K-12 Principal required 2+ years' experience as a principal, other school administration, or school leadership role desired 3+ years' experience as a teacher required Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong critical thinking skills Strong technology skills Knowledge of IDEA and 504 regulations Basic understanding of the school budget process Basic understanding of the PA School Code Reports to: CEO FLSA
