Do you place equity at the heart of how you think about and interact with educational programming? Kodiak College is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, engaged Scheduling/High School Initiatives Coordinator. This position works with faculty to develop the academic year schedule and inputs the schedule into the college system and is responsible for data collection and analysis pertaining to enrollment. The work of this position in the high school directly impacts the recruitment and retention goals for the college. We are looking for someone with an appreciation and understanding of theplex diversity of the academic, cultural, socioeconomic, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present on Kodiak Island. To be successful in this role applicant will have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, familiarity with FERPA, demonstrated aptitude for learning new skills, particularly as it pertains to processes, software applications, and technology. Ability to accurately interpret and explain policies to students, staff, faculty, and administration. Support and/orpleteplex tasks under pressure of deadlines, including but not limited to academic records maintenance, enrollment, degree reporting and verification, end of semester processing, course scheduling, and admissions applications. Ability to recognize and provide excellent customer service, make sound judgment calls, critically analyze and solve problems, multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude, strong sense of initiative, and attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with co-workers, students, faculty, staff, and others. Strong oral and writtenmunication and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability tomunicate well with diverse populations. Functional knowledge of university systems for referral. Knowledge of student information systems preferred
  • Banner and CLSS in particular.
Skill in operation of modernmunication tools,puters and relevant software, especially related to data entry. Accurate data entry skills. Ability to adapt to new technology and processes and the initiative to learn frequentputer system changes. Ability and desire to take the lead on projects and be innovative in streamlining of processes to benefit students and internal partners.
Required:
A minimum of two years of experience working withplex web applications, database management systems, Excel, Word, calendaring, email systems within the last 5 years. Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service to external and internal constituencies. Demonstrated ability to interpret and uphold policies. Demonstrated ability to honor diversity.
Preferred:
Experience with Banner, CLSS, Toad/SQL, and Salesforce.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university. Substantial experience working in a post-secondary educational environment, or equivalent customer service environment where rules and regulations are applied to individual clients/customers. A Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Kodiak College campus on Kodiak Island. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff positionplete with both apetitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generouspensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience. Review of applicants will begin immediately.
