Job Description
Job Duties:
- Conduct on-site assistance reviews at sponsored schools focusing on curriculum, education plan implementation, instructional delivery, prevention/intervention plan, and professional growth and continuous improvement
- Review and analyze student achievement data along with Schools' Local Report Card and use the results to offer School Leaders and Governing Boards technical assistance in areas of needed improvement
- Assist school leaders and Governing Boards with assessing school needs and services including instructional programs and strategies, implementing an effective curriculum, and methods for improving instruction to ensure that all students learn at their highest potential
- Maintain a current knowledge base in several areas: curriculum and instruction, Ohio Improvement Process, best practices in education, strategies for school improvement
- Attend and actively participate in the following meetings: Governing Board meetings, School Improvement Team Meetings, All-Staff Meetings, and all other meetings as deemed necessary
- Communicate directly and frequently with school leaders and governing board members as needed on issues related to the school
- Develop and/or manage online databases
- Provides excellent customer service to school leaders and governing authority members
- Develop professional development training courses and webinars on various school improvement or state/federal mandated initiatives We seek someone with the following
Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in education is required; a PhD is preferred
- Anyone with an educational background in Special Education or Federal Programs is strongly encouraged to apply
- Expertise in planning, implementing, and managing improvement efforts
- Successful teaching, leadership, and/or management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of data analysis and process monitoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of Ohio Learning Standards and School Improvement Best Practices
- Experience with instructional design for adult learners
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well on a team The successful candidate can be located anywhere in the State of Ohio, but Columbus local candidates will be working from our corporate office in Pickerington.
