The school is seeking a relational, mission-driven High School Assistant Principal who can combine sound judgment and strong leadership with humility, grace, and a genuine heart for students. About the Role Reporting to the High School Principal, the Assistant Principal will help cultivate a Christ-centered high school culture marked by academic excellence, meaningful relationships, personal responsibility, and spiritual growth. This leader will be highly visible and engaged in the daily life of the school. You will build relationships with students, support and mentor faculty, partner with families, oversee student-life initiatives, and help guide students through both challenges and opportunities for growth. You will also serve as a trusted partner to the High School Principal, helping manage day-to-day operations, strengthen communication, and advance priorities across the high school. Student Life, Culture, and Discipleship The Assistant Principal will help shape the student experience by developing and supporting programs, activities, traditions, retreats, advisory initiatives, chapels, assemblies, and service opportunities that reinforce the school's mission. You will maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the school day, build meaningful relationships with students, and help create a campus culture where students feel known, supported, challenged, and accountable. Student discipline will be approached through a lens of grace, restoration, and growth. This role will partner closely with students, parents, and faculty to address conduct concerns, academic integrity, bullying, classroom challenges, and other sensitive matters with consistency, wisdom, and care. Faculty Support and School Leadership The Assistant Principal will mentor and support high school faculty, offering guidance, feedback, and classroom-management support as needed. You will help strengthen collaboration across the division and facilitate respectful, solution-oriented conversations with faculty and families. As the High School Principal's primary designee when needed, you will assist with schedules, student programs, campus procedures, school events, safety practices, technology expectations, and other daily operational priorities. This role requires someone who can move comfortably between strategic planning, relationship-building, difficult conversations, and the practical details that keep a high school running well. What We're Looking For A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates faith through both words and actions Active participation in a local church aligned with Hill Country Christian School's Statement of Faith A bachelor's degree; a graduate degree in education or a related field is preferred At least five years of professional experience in an upper-school environment Experience in a Christian or classical school setting Previous leadership experience within a middle or high school strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills The ability to lead with consistency, humility, compassion, and accountability You'll Thrive Here If You… You view educational leadership as both a profession and a ministry.
