Senior Officer, Leadership Academy Network Texas Wesleyan University - 4.1 Fort Worth, TX Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications School experience Team leadership Employee relationship building Public school experience K-12 education instructional development Full Job Description Posting Details Position Information Job Title Senior Officer, Leadership Academy Network Position Summary The Senior Officer is responsible for implementing the Leadership Academy educational model with fidelity. This position will ensure that the Leadership Academies maintain a culture of instructional excellence, high student expectations, and social-emotional supports. The Senior Officer will support school leaders in exercising autonomy to solidify and extend the academic gains achieved to-date. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities School Planning 1. Build strong and professional relationships with school leaders, understand their needs, and help them access supports aligned to those needs 2. Lead the process for development and evaluation of annual School Improvement/Operational Plans, including annual needs assessments 3. Lead and oversee the Network's curriculum and instruction program 4. Collaborate with school leaders to design, vet, select and implement resources and strategies related to curriculum, instruction and school culture 5. Lead the instructional quality monitoring process 6. Support schools to collect, analyze, and respond to data to inform their school improvement efforts and support performance reporting 7. Develop and implement systems for sharing strong practices and lessons learned across the Leadership Academy Network Strategic Staffing 1. Supervise Leadership Academy Network Leadership Team to support campuses 2. Work to expand the pool of high-quality talent and expert coaches supporting the Leadership Academies 3. Develop deliberate talent pipelines for school leaders, teacher leaders, and strong new talent 4. Work with school leaders to craft tailored professional development plans 5. Vet, negotiate and approve professional development partnerships/vendors 6. Evaluate school leaders and make school leadership transition decisions with support from Texas Wesleyan staff and the Steering Committee 7. Facilitate change management at schools with leadership or structural transitions 8. Serve as a liaison between the Leadership Academies and the Steering Committee. 9. Communicate with and make regular presentations to the Steering Committee and when necessary, the Texas Wesleyan governing board and the Fort Worth ISD Board of Trustees 10. Build relationships and communicate regularly with school communities including members of the Network Educator Council, families, and vendors Operations 1.Work with all stakeholders in the development and execution of operational guidelines relating to school staffing, budgeting, student assignment, technology, and IT services. 2.Manage and resolve issues between operational service departments of the District. 3.Manage all centralized functions in coordination with District departments as necessary, including student enrollment, discipline, athletics, and all federal and state reporting. Communications 1. Serve as a spokesperson for LAN as needed 2. Participate in communications planning and providing press release information and public awareness materials 3. Represent LAN at conferences and functions, legislative presentations, and community presentations as needed.
Finance:
1. Oversee the budgeting process for LAN 2. Liaise with FWISD and University departments to ensure on-time transfers of funds to LAN campuses 3. Work with FWISD and University departments to ensure smooth functioning of key financial systems, including procurement, HR, and school -level budgeting 4. Negotiate and manage contracts for any shared services across the LAN campuses. Support the Dean of the School of Education and other Texas Wesleyan leadership for contracts as needed. 5. Support fundraising efforts for LAN as needed. Education, Certifications and/or Licenses Qualifications Doctor of Education and/or related fields required. Texas Principal certification a plus. Texas Superintendent certification required TPESS certified Experience Experience At least 5 years of work experience in PK-12 settings, including campus leadership and/or supervisory experience in the field of education.
