Experience:
Three years' experience as a classroom teacher (minimum) Five years' experience in campus or district administration (minimum) Five years' supervisory experience (minimum) Principal experience preferred Experience planning, developing, and implementing educational policies and programs required. Major responsibilities and duties: 1. Oversee the development and delivery of curriculum and instructional programs incorporating district goals and supporting student achievement. 2. Monitor and reevaluate instructional programs on an ongoing basis using input from teachers and principals, applied research, and student data to determine effectiveness and improve oues. Rmend changes and adjustments where appropriate. 3. Develop a staff development plan focused and aligned with district and campus improvement plans and use the data effectively to assess the effect of professional learning on improving educator practice. 4. Coach school leaders who directly report to Chief Academic Officer (CAO). 5. Manage fiscal resources under CAO pur and help direct spending for the purpose of fiscal efficiency in providing required services. 6. Facilitate Campus and District data meetings 7. Facilitate the implementation and development of high quality instructional materials and curriculum. 8. Coordinate the development of procedures related to curriculum and instruction. 9. Work cooperatively with district and staff to define district needs 10. Facilitate effective school district curricular decisions. 11. Work collaboratively regarding the collection, re, interpretation and use of data to improve student achievement. 12. Obtain and use evaluative findings to examine curriculum/instructional program effectiveness. 13. Actively support the efforts of others to achieve district and campus goals and objectives and performance objectives (Texas Academic Performance Reports - TAPR). 14. Supervise the use of formative assessment practices 15. Provide campus leaders with research-based strategies for academic achievement. 16. Exhibitmitment to continuous student improvement 17. Encourage and model innovative thinking and risk taking and problems as learning opportunities. 18. Facilitate the use of technology in the teaching-learning process. 19. Participate in the district-level decision process to establish and re the district's goals and objectives and major classroom instructional programs of the district. 20. Remain well informed and up to date about trends and developments in research and evaluation theory and practice. 21. Remain up to date on state mandates and priorities as they relate to assigned responsibilities. 22. Provide rmendations regarding instructional programs and materials 23. Promote learning and high expectations for students and staff performance. 24. Anticipate, manage and resolve conflicts. 25. Use a variety ofmunication tools and techniques to exchange information and ideas effectively. 26. Demonstrate clear and effective writing, speaking, and active listening skills. 27. Participate in effective budget planning and management 28. Inspire others and advocate for children, education and professional learning 29. Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities:
30. Supervise instructional volunteers 31. Supervise and evaluate District Content Specialists 32. Supervise and evaluate other direct reports as assigned by Superintendent.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/License:
Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or Educational Administration required Doctorate Degree preferred Texas Principal, Administrative, or equivalent Certification required Texas Principal and Evaluation Support System (TPESS) Certification required (or must obtain within 3 months)
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $140,000

5 Local Sick Days, 5 State Leave Days, 3 Non-Duty Days TRS Active-Care Insurance 4-Day Work Weeks (June-July)
