This position plays an important role in fostering student wellness, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and faith formation while supporting the mission and values of our Catholic and International Baccalaureate school community. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with students, organized, collaborative, and committed to developing a positive athletic culture rooted in Catholic values and student growth. Position Responsibilities Physical Education Coach Duties Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate P.E. lessons for students Teach health and wellness concepts that promote lifelong healthy habits Foster physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development Incorporate Catholic values and faith-based principles into instruction and student interactions Utilize International Baccalaureate Programme instructional strategies and learner profile attributes within lessons and activities Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all students Assess student progress and maintain appropriate records and communication with families Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school-wide initiatives and student success Athletic Director Duties Work with Dalls Parochial League (DPL) Organize and coordinate volleyball, basketball, and futsal games and schedules Communicate with other schools, officials, coaches, and families regarding athletic events and fielding teams Recruit, organize, and support extracurricular athletic teams and programs Recruit and oversee volunteer coaches for athletic programs Coordinate gym usage, practices, transportation needs, and game logistics Oversee concession stand preparation, volunteers, inventory, and sales during athletic events Promote a positive and faith-centered athletic culture that reflects the mission of the school Ensure athletic programs emphasize teamwork, leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship Assist in planning athletic events, tournaments, and special activities Some budget management Qualifications Experience teaching Physical Education and/or coaching athletics Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration Commitment to supporting Catholic education and values Familiarity with or willing to learn International Baccalaureate Programme philosophy and inquiry-based instructional practices preferred CPR/First Aid certification preferred Bachelor's degree in Education, Physical Education, or related field preferred Desired Qualities Passion for student development and wellness Positive leadership and mentorship skills Strong sense of initiative and responsibility Enthusiastic, flexible, and team-oriented mindset Ability to inspire students both academically and athletically Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter detailing their experience, philosophy of education, and commitment to Catholic education.
