Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership in developing, monitoring, revising and providing instructional oversight for students with 504 plans, including general education homebound. Provide support to students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators in the identification, evaluation and development of a 504-accommodation plan designed to support students.
Middle School Only:
Facilitates campus MTSS enrollment by monitoring student achievement data as it relates to entrance and exit criteria for MTSS. Partner with campus administrators to oversee the implementation of HB1416 Accelerated Instruction for students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education Minimum of 3 years teaching experience preferred. Able to communicate effectively, both oral and written Highly skilled in Excel and/or Google spreadsheet Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong knowledge of the academic, emotional and health needs of students receiving 504 accommodations (health, academic, homebound) Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Section 504 and TEA regulations for MTSS. Working knowledge of e-STAR (preferred) Knowledge of discipline management, rules and regulations (preferred) Ability to follow policy and procedures and analyze data. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Collaborate with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators, teachers, public agencies, community members, etc.) for the purpose of implementing services and programs in order to meet the educational needs of students. Support the compliance, monitoring, and timelines of Section 504, MTSS, and Accelerated Instruction identification and implementation. Utilizes eSTAR (or district platform) for documentation of 504 and/or MTSS processes. Monitor and verify implementation of testing accommodations for all 504 and MTSS students on state assessments. Coordinate professional development for campus personnel to include all aspects of 504 and MTSS. Coordinate with curriculum leaders to establish effective supports and services for 504 students, including general education homebound services. Act as campus 504 and MTSS representative to schedule, facilitate meetings, and communicate with parents. Compile, maintain, and present all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents required for program effectiveness reviews. Exercise responsibility for campus' PEIMS requirements, reports, and compliance related to program areas. Monitor professional research and disseminate ideas and information to other professionals. Articulate the District's mission and instructional goals. Demonstrate awareness of campus' needs and initiate activities to meet those needs. Perform other related duties as assigned, including possible support at other campuses. Provide feedback to supervisors regarding options for improving programs and processes.

Working Conditions:
Must have reliable transportation, in the event this position requires traveling to more than one campus. Position requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, sitting, and keyboarding. Position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high.
