PRIMARY PURPOSE
To perform all secretarial duties such as typing, filing, answering phones, and maintaining records and files for the Mesquite Education Association.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic computer and keyboarding skills.
Experience:
None
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Type correspondence such as letters, memos, reports and forms pertaining to the Mesquite Education Association and Mesquite Educational Professional Association. Answer inquiries from school employees in a polite and informative manner. Compile the Personnel Directory and Resource/Discount list. Update Group Life Insurance Policy monthly. Manage Sick Leave Bank. Communicate with campus faculty representatives. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Mental Demands:
Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Writing routine reports and correspondence. Adding, subtracting multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Dealing with problems involving a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical demands/environmental factors:
Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion. Lifting/moving up to 10 pounds such as supplies of copier. Seeing close work such as typed or handwritten materials.
