Job Description

The Learning Abroad Advisor will contribute to the success of the Office of Learning Abroad (OLA) by providing timely, professional customer service to students and others involved in SUU's study abroad programs. The advisor will work as a valued member of a team that includes the OLA director, coordinators, and student-assistants.
Date of first consideration:
06/23/2026. Manage general office operations and student-workers. Assist with the maintenance of exchange student records. Advise students about study abroad opportunities. Assist with planning and coordinating events. Assist with other projects as needed. Prepare reports as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree Experience as an exchange student. Office experience. Experience using Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Forms; Adobe Premiere Pro; Canva; and Canvas. All positions are contingent on funding. Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
