Pay/Salary:
$40,000-$42,000 Summary Mountainland Technical College is seeking a student-focused, detail-oriented Student Affairs Specialist to support scholarship and grant programs and assist with testing center operations. What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Student Affairs Specialist include, but are not limited to: Working directly with students to identify scholarship and grant opportunities that support their educational goals. Assisting students throughout the scholarship and grant application process, helping them access available funding resources. Maintaining accurate records and database information related to scholarship and grant programs. Coordinating with the Scholarship Committee regarding application reviews, rating practices, and award processes. Ensuring reporting requirements are completed accurately for the institution, governing bodies, and stakeholders. Managing scholarship and grant processes from application through awarding and follow-up. Proctoring student exams while maintaining testing security standards and student accommodations. Collaborating with instructional departments to coordinate testing schedules and services. Providing backup coverage and support for testing center operations as needed. Supporting additional departmental projects and initiatives that contribute to student success.
What We're Looking For:
Education Requirements:
An associate's degree in Communication, Business Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Previous experience in higher education, student services, financial aid, or scholarship administration is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management systems.
Communication & Organizational Abilities:
Strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
