Job Description

Summary:
The job requires supervision of the children under the aide's care, specifically, but could be extended to any students at the school.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Observe all school and diocesan directives. Assist with instruction under the direction of the teacher. Help check/grade papers Assist the teacher with the arrival and dismissal of students. Take students to and from specials, supervise them in the cafeteria, on the playground, during PE and any other classes in which they participate. Promote order and self-discipline in the classroom, at recess, at lunchtime, at arrival and at dismissal time, upholding school regulations. Help ensure the school culture remains positive and loving towards all stakeholders. Foster Christian values and behavior among students. Promote the Catholic identity of the school by knowledge and respect for Catholic Tradition.
Physical Demands/Environment:
Expected to supervise students and the safe environment of the school and may involve work in classrooms, laboratories, computer labs, the library, and other parts of the facilities including the grounds.
Working Conditions:
Work part time with established hours per week during the school year (7:30am - 1:00pm). A classroom and necessary books and supplies are provided by the school.
Professional Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills. Basic Computer skills. The ability to work well with children and adults. High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay:
From $16.50 per hour
