Job Description

POSITION
#045-ADM-03-26 Elementary & Middle School Migrant Summer School Principal •Internal Applicants Only•2026
Summer School Dates:
June 23-July 23, 2026 Monday-Wednesday - Summer School Hours 7:30-2:30
Required Training Days:
Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17, 2026 Days off: Wed, Thur, Fri July 1-3 (4th of July falls on Saturday, 2026)
Annual Stipend :
$11,000
DESCRIPTION:
Work with Special Programs to develop, implement, and evaluate the elementary and middle school summer school program. Support current vision that includes a heavy emphasis on GLAD strategies and experiential learning. Recruit, hire, coordinate train, orient, and supervise instructors, assistants, custodial staff and other summer school staff. Coordinate registration process, data collection, program budgets and finances. Order and maintain supporting curriculum and supplies as needed. Resolve onsite concerns. Organize and supervise student transportation, food program, pre- and post-testing. Collect, analyze and present data regarding the effectiveness of summer school. Plan, implement and evaluate parent involvement before and during summer school. Conduct end of the program family celebration event. Coordinate with other district summer school administrators and staff as needed. Other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Wenatchee School District employee. Experience in an Administrative/Principal Intern program or administrative experience. Strong problem solving and organizational/people skills. Knowledge of highly mobile students' needs and district program services. Must be willing to support ongoing partnership with 21st Century grants, community agencies, and
OSPI. GLAD
training preferred. Valid Washington State Certification with appropriate endorsement. Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are critical functions of this job.
