We are seeking candidates who desire to join a dedicated and committed team of educators and community members focused on providing exemplary co- and extra-curricular offerings for our students, to aid in their social-emotional growth, their development as leaders, and enhance their ability to learn while pursuing their passions. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader and gifted communicator who has the desire to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Our successful candidate will bring the following qualities and attributes: Licensed or ability to be licensed as a principal (5051) by the State of Wisconsin DPI or certification as or the ability to become certified as a Certified Athletic Administrator within three (3) years of hire. Shall have proficiency in administrative responsibilities. Master's Degree, or demonstrated history in professional growth. Minimum of five years coaching/advising or teaching experience, including experience in the organization and administration of extra- and/or co-curricular programs. A balanced interest in the various aspects of the extra- and co-curricular programming. A growth mindset and passionate belief in the potential of ALL activities to aid in the growth of our youth. Demonstrated leadership ability, including exemplary written and oral communications skills. Such alternatives or additional qualifications as the Sauk Prairie School Board may deem necessary or desirable.

District Description:

The district includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two "next door" villages known as Sauk Prairie. They are located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district. The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes and streams. The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles). The district serves 2,800 students, and comprises six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, middle school of 600 students and four elementary schools of 1,350 students. Additionally, Sauk Prairie High School recently completed a $60 million renovation, including a new competition pool, a new competition stadium for track, lacrosse, soccer and football, new weightroom, lockerroom, and athletic training facilities, and new concessions areas for both indoor and outdoor events.
