POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT - ANNISTON CITY SCHOOLS POSITION
Elementary Teacher
REPORTS TO
Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
187 days ~ 9 months
SALARY:
Based Upon District Salary Schedule
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To help students learn subject matter and skills in a classroom setting that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible members of society.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate Alabama Teacher Certification Highly Qualified (HQT) Status Teaching experience preferred Ability to work effectively with students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Determines individual and class needs. Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences. Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Exhibits positive human relations skills. Evaluates positive human relations skills. Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues and community groups. Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication. Maintains and submits records and reports. Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy and state and federal rules and regulations. Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership. Any and all duties that may be assigned by the principal.
