Fifth Grade Classroom Teacher

Pine Forest School in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join our fantastic teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. There is currently a need for a fifth grade teacher who will collaborate in team meetings, supporting students and colleagues through the developmental stage of adolescence. Our K-8 charter school, guided by the Core Principles of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education, offers a comprehensive academic curriculum along with special subject classes in Woodwork, Spanish, Visual and Theater Arts, Music, and Games/Movement. Our school serves a diverse community of children, kindergarten through eighth grade. Flagstaff has a vibrant arts community, many great outdoor festivals and a wonderful four- seasons outdoor recreation environment. You will find everything a small city has to offer including easy access to the beautiful Grand Canyon. The ideal candidate will have an Arizona Teaching certification and some knowledge and/or experience teaching middle school students. In addition, an openness to implementing the creative educational philosophy developed by Dr. Rudolf Steiner known in the U.S. as Waldorf Education. An AZ teacher certification and Waldorf teacher training or certifications are desired but not a requirement. Applicants holding a bachelor's degree and Waldorf certification plus years of experience can make up to $64,000 a year.
