An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum tailored for infants, emphasizing sensory exploration, motor skills development, and early literacy. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional security and encourages independent exploration. Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, documenting milestones and adjusting activities accordingly. Engage in hands-on activities that support toddler care, behavior management, and early intervention strategies to foster positive social interactions. Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication about their child's progress, needs, and achievements. Maintain classroom organization, ensuring all materials are prepared, sanitized, and accessible to support seamless lesson execution. Uphold all health and safety standards in line with childcare regulations and best practices for child welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, particularly with infants or toddlers. Knowledge of Montessori pedagogy and curriculum development specific to infant care. Strong understanding of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and special education needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children. Classroom management skills to create an organized environment conducive to learning and safety. Certification in early childhood education or Montessori training is highly preferred. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts suitable for infants, and physical activities like teaching physical education basics.
