May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Job Summary Hilltop Christian School is an AACS accredited K-8 school and a department of Across Nations Ministry located in the Window Rock, AZ area. Across Nations is a mission to Native Americans of the Four Corners area which includes Hilltop Christian School, local outreach, partnership with area churches, and the Across Nations Radio Network. The radio network is comprise of 7 stations (AM and FM) that provide both the Navajo and Hopi Nation with Christian radio 24/365. Across Nations is a Protestant, evangelical ministry closely aligned with doctrinal positions of the Presbyterian, Baptist, Bible, and other such evangelical denominations, HCS was founded in 1964 and is well known in the area for providing a quality academic education from a Biblical worldview to Native students of NM and AZ. HCS is looking for an upper elementary (Grades 5-6) teacher for this school year. A modest salary is provided as well as very low cost on-campus housing. For more information contact - admin@hilltopchristian.net. Responsibilities Prepare and delivery daily lessons in all subjects (including Bible) to a combined 5th-6th grade class of 10 students. Provide consistent communication with parents (grades, attendance, etc.) Support staff and school events. Develop a prayer team that will support you throughout the year. Team player with HCS and AN staff, school principal and AN Director. Qualifications 1. BA degree, preferably in education or a related ministry field. 2. Teaching experience is preferred but not required. 3. Successfully pass pre-employment background check and staff interview process. 4. Be available to start teaching for the 2025-26 school year starting in August.
