Full-Time, School Year Position Summary Brave Christian Elementary School is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and highly effective Lower School Teacher (TK-2nd Grade) who is committed to developing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This teacher will create a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment where young learners feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow. The ideal candidate brings strong instructional practices, a love for early childhood education, and a heart for partnering with families. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Classroom Leadership Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school curriculum and standards Teach foundational skills in: Early literacy (phonics, reading, writing) Mathematics Social-emotional development Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners Establish strong classroom routines, procedures, and expectations Create a positive, structured, and joyful learning environment Student Development Support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student Integrate Biblical values and character development into daily instruction Foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback Classroom Management Implement consistent and proactive classroom management strategies Model and teach respectful behavior, kindness, and responsibility Address student behavior with both accountability and care Assessment & Communication Assess student learning through both formal and informal methods Maintain accurate and organized student records Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and needs Participate in parent-teacher conferences and ongoing family communication Collaboration & Professional Growth Collaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, and administration Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Partner with Educational Support Services to implement accommodations when needed Contribute to a positive and unified school culture Faith Integration & School Community Model Christ-centered leadership in all interactions Lead students in prayer and spiritual development Support chapel, school events, and community-building activities Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Brave Christian Schools Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field Teaching credential (or working toward certification, if applicable) Experience working with young children (TK-2nd grade preferred) Strong classroom management and instructional skills Alignment with the mission and faith statement of Brave Christian Schools Preferred Experience with early literacy instruction (phonics-based approach) Understanding of differentiated instruction and learning differences Strong communication and organizational skills Collaborative, team-oriented mindset Key Attributes Nurturing, patient, and relational Organized and structured High expectations with a heart for students Flexible and solution-oriented Passionate about early childhood education Strong communicator with both students and families Closing Statement At Brave Christian Elementary, we believe in partnering with families to raise up students who are confident, capable, and rooted in their God-given purpose.
