Valid California Multiple Subject Credential and an English Learner authorization required (by August 10, 2026) Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District's mission, vision and priority goals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders Successful classroom teaching experience with a passion for working with children Knowledge of principles, theories, methods, techniques and strategies pertaining to teaching and instruction Knowledge of educational curriculum, instructional goals and objectives and educational trends and research findings pertaining to educational technology and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with requirements of the Superintendent/designee Ability to motivate and support staff in reaching high levels of academic success Expert knowledge of instructional technology, current research and practice related to instruction A results-oriented, goal-driven, team approach to work Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with the requirements of student needs, school goals and district priorities along with a strong commitment to learn Outstanding skills in problem-solving, critical-thinking, innovation and creativity Strong science, engineering, coding, mathematics and technology skillsASSIGNMENT
• Teach a variety of STEAM and Makerspace related curriculum, lessons, and activities aligned to NGSS for students Kindergarten through grade 5; Set schedule, working 21 hours per week Assignment begins: August 10, 2026 SALARYAND BENEFITS
• Placement on Certificated Salary Schedule with starting salary between $75,315 (Step 1)•$114,714 (Step 10), (Pro-rated to 49%); maximum outside years accepted nine; up to two years credit for Substitute Teaching experience Eligible to participate in BTSA/Induction program with Orange County Office of Education (OCDE)APPLICATION PROCEDURE
