CLASSROOM Overall Responsibilities Provide instruction using principles of human development and appropriate learning strategies to enable students to make academic, vocational, and/or personal growth. Specific Responsibilities 1. Provide instruction in grade/subject assigned. 2. Prepare materials needed to assist students. 3. Implement policies, procedures, and mandates as required. 4. Prepare and submit requested reports and plans in an accurate and timely manner. 5. Participate in professional development. 6. Participate in school, District, and department activities and meetings. 7. Work with other staff including administration, counseling, clerical, and other teachers. 8. Provide instruction and compliance activities in accordance with state and federal law, District policies and procedures, and site needs. 9. Work with parents and community members to provide for the instructional needs of individuals in the assigned class. 10. Foster positive relationships between students, staff, and community members. 11. Supervise students to assure their safety. 12. Monitor student achievement and adjust instructions in response to student data. 13. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Specific knowledge of:

1. Content of instructional assignment. 2. Principles of learning, instruction, and assessment appropriate to assignment.

1. Assist in array of learners in developing age appropriate knowledge and skills. 2. Maintain patience when confronted with challenges and stressful situations. 3. Learn and appropriately apply District policies and procedures and other regulations related to the position. 7. Apply strategies appropriate to the age level of the assigned students. 8. Maintain appropriate confidentiality about the status of students, classroom, and school activities. 9. Gather and analyze data to determine student's abilities and instructional needs. 10.
