Responsibilities Assist lead Montessori teachers in implementing curriculum plans that promote child-centered learning and development. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, organized, and safe environment for children. Engage with children through play, literacy activities, physical education, and early intervention strategies to foster growth across developmental domains. Help with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to individual needs, including special education and childhood development considerations. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities to build strong partnerships. Support infants,toddlers and preschool-aged children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times in compliance with health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies while maintaining high standards of classroom cleanliness and organization. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool environments. Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures for young learners. Experience supporting children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
