In this dynamic role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom environment, and support students' academic and social development. Your dedication will help cultivate curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning among children in early childhood through elementary grades. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and understanding. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, creating a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and tutoring sessions. Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum development initiatives and participate in school-wide activities. Provide mentorship and support to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and development milestones. Requirements Proven classroom experience in elementary education or early childhood settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues positively. Ability to develop creative lesson plans using curriculum development best practices and incorporate teaching physical education when needed. Familiarity with learning technology tools and library services to support diverse learning styles. Certification or licensure in elementary education or relevant field; additional qualifications such as Montessori or private school experience are a plus. Demonstrated skills in proofreading, writing skills, tutoring, behavior management, and working with individuals with autism or other special needs are valued assets.
