Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical Education (PE) teacher to inspire and guide students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. The PE teacher will develop and implement an engaging curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy habits, aligned with age-appropriate standards and school values. Possibility of expanding the role to include Athletic Director and Afterschool care staff member. Responsibilities Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the school's philosophy, Catholic teachings, and academic standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports student growth in faith and learning. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Integrate faith-based teachings and Catholic values into daily lessons and activities. Assess student progress through observation, documentation, and formative assessments. Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Participate in school Masses, religious celebrations, and Catholic community events. Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school's mission and vision. Uphold school policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field Valid teaching credential or enrolled in a credential program. Commitment to the teachings and values of the Catholic faith.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based school setting. Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans that support individual learning styles. Commitment to fostering a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere.
