An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

As an Elementary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing young learners, preparing them for kindergarten, and instilling a love for learning. Be open to feedback and continuously improve through coaching and collaboration with your peers Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (required) One of the following in elementary education: Colorado teaching license or endorsement 36 credit hours in content Passing score on approved Praxis exams For grades K-3 positions, 45 hours of Colorado READ Act training or passedPRAXIS 5205
