In this dynamic role, you will create high-quality instruction in core academic subjects including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, within a warm and nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence. Your dedication will support the development of the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally, while respecting and reinforcing the values and culture of the school. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Utilize diverse teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments. Support students with differentiated needs by applying inclusive teaching practices, and implementing early intervention techniques. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices in elementary childhood education. Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, classroom management, literacy and math education, and working with individuals with diverse learning needs. Skills Proven classroom experience with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Provide tiered support in reading, writing, and/or math based on student needs. Establish clear expectations and routines that support student independence and responsibility. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Implement curriculum aligned with school standards and grade-level expectations. Proficiency in using learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring early intervention services. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment techniques to monitor student achievement accurately. Writing skills for creating clear instructional materials, reports, and progress updates. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional growth. Be a reflective practitioner and pursue ongoing professional growth.

$60,000.00 - $69,999.00 per year
