About HCCA Hope Community Christian Academy (HCCA) is a non-denominational school dedicated to strengthening families and providing top-notch education for our students. We offer Kindergarten through 8th grade. Enrichment activities are also provided which include engaging field trips, local social service activities, and elective classes. Carefully selected teachers provide classroom instruction and planning. Two or three days per week, depending on grade level, these teachers instruct the students in a traditional classroom setting. On alternate days, parents follow teacher-planned lessons at home with their children, acting as private tutors. This model has proven time and again to be the "Best Of Both worlds".

We want to see everyone we serve walking in the Truth and accomplishing their full potential in Christ (3 John 2:4) Teacher Job Description Essential Job Functions The classroom teacher uses effective teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and affect student learning, while integrating biblical principles. The classroom teacher utilizes positive and effective classroom management and communication skills to effectively lead the classroom and empower parents of students within their classroom. Relationships Collaborates with fellow teachers and support staff. Communicates effectively with students, parents, and the community. Reports to the School Administrator. Qualifications Holds a current Colorado teaching certificate or eligible to obtain one or has a strong desire/ calling to teach. Publicly professes to be a believer in Jesus Christ and agrees with the HCCA Statement of Faith. Is committed to the mission of achieving excellence by education for the students. Maintain a professional demeanor, while at the same time developing positive relationships with parents, staff, and community. General Duties and Responsibilities Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students, challenging each to do his/her best work. Prepares weekly assignments sheets for the at home classroom time, supervised by parents. Assesses the learning of students on a regular basis and supplies proper feedback to administration and parents. Follows established policies and procedures for dealing with students, parents, administration, and staff. Demonstrates support for the role of parents as educational partners and supports them in that task. Cooperates with administration and School Board in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school. Maintains regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for comprehensive knowledge of each student's progress. Actively participates in parent-teacher trainings, the new parent orientation, and any additional parent meetings as requested. Leads parent-teacher conferences once per semester. Responsibilities in the classroom Provide biblical integration to subject matter being taught on a consistent basis. Instruct students in social behavioral, and other educational skill areas. Pursue a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing pupils, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and laboratory experiences. Conduct teaching and instructional activities, using educational equipment, materials, books, and other learning aids. Provide instruction and be an example regarding citizenship. Individualize and adapt instruction to motivate students, and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities Maintain appropriate standards of pupil behavior, using behavioral management strategies and techniques, including positive reinforcement and behavior shaping procedures. Prepare, administer, score, record, and report the results of standardized tests in evaluating student growth and progress. Build rapport with your students to know their circumstances and be able to design instructional programs to meet individual educational needs.
