reviews $38,000•$50,000 a year•Full-time, Contract Position Overview Immanuel Lutheran School is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Fourth Grade Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our school is committed to providing an excellent classical Lutheran education that nurtures students spiritually, academically, and personally. The ideal candidate will possess a love for teaching, a commitment to Christian education, and a desire to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning in students. About Our School Immanuel Lutheran School educates students in grades PK-8 and has faithfully served families in the Bristol community for over 100 years. Grounded in God's Word and the Lutheran Confessions, we partner with families to educate the whole child through a rich, Christ-centered curriculum. Our classical approach emphasizes truth, goodness, and beauty while cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning. Students develop strong foundations in language, literature, history, mathematics, science, theology, and the fine arts, preparing them to serve faithfully in their homes, churches, communities, and future vocations. Responsibilities Teach all core fourth-grade subjects, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, History, and Religion. Integrate biblical truth and a Christian worldview throughout all areas of instruction. Implement a classical education model that emphasizes critical thinking, rich literature, narration, memorization, discussion, and the study of primary sources. Foster a classroom culture marked by respect, curiosity, diligence, and Christian character. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic and spiritual growth. Collaborate with faculty, administration, and families to support student success. Participate in school events, faculty meetings, professional development, and other assigned duties. Serve as a positive Christian role model for students and families. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification. Commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Lutheran education. Ability to integrate faith and learning across the curriculum. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Desire to learn and implement classical teaching methods. Experience in elementary education preferred. Desired Characteristics The successful candidate will: Demonstrate a vibrant Christian faith. Love working with elementary-aged children. Value academic excellence rooted in biblical truth. Possess a growth mindset and a willingness to continue learning.
