Until filled Greenwich Public Schools seeks Learning Guides for the after-school Pre-Kindergarten-Play Program to take place at Hamilton Avenue Elementary School during the 2026-27 school year. Learning Guides are needed every day between 2:00-5:00 p.m. Work will be compensated at the rate of $29/hr. based on hours worked outside of the contracted day. Essential Responsibilities Oversee daily lesson plans and activities focused on developing children's social/motor skills and oral language Assist children with play, phonemic awareness, assignments, and homework, such as pre-reading, writing, and mathematics Prepare learning materials and equipment, such as books, arts and crafts, stationery, and other supplies, as needed Assist with behavior management, discipline, and interpersonal actions, acting always as a role model Mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences Qualifications Preference will be given to Hamilton Avenue Elementary School teachers, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff
